Review: Connex at Eurobike & Interbike 2014

Connex successfully presented its new generation of chains including the innovative 11-speed chain at the two leading bike trade fairs.

Late this summer, one trade fair followed the next for Connex: the chain experts presented their innovations at Eurobike at Lake Constance from 27 to 30 August as well as at the Interbike in Las Vegas from 10 to 12 September. As in the previous years, both trade fairs recorded a high number of visitors.

"The two trade fairs were an excellent opportunity for us to present our innovations such as the 11-speed chain and the latest e-bike chains. The 11-speed chain, in particular, sparked great interest", commented Martina Röhl, Sales Manager at Connex on the response of the trade fairs.

The latest chain generation by Connex offers new high performance plates. Thanks to their innovative design, they enable extremely precise and silent gear changes on all derailleur systems. The technical innovation lies with the special geometry of the plates - they feature high precision chamfering to ensure optimum gear-changing performance. In addition to the new plate design, many models of the latest generation come with the Connex Power Pin. Innovative radial riveting and pins with an extremely wear resistant surface ensure highest resistance and maximum safety.

Christian Hamann, CEO of the Group said: "At the trade fairs, we once again experienced that our innovations `Made in Germany´ enjoy an excellent reputation and we received a lot of positive feedback regarding our products".

Connex was also able to score with the entirely new brand appearance: with the slogan "Chains at their best" and the new eye-catching design for the packaging and catalogue as well as for the trade fair stand and the brand new website, the chain experts captured the interest of many visitors. The commitment at these two important bike fairs has once again paid off: we were able to establish contacts with numerous manufacturers and dealers and received great feedback from the bikers on the public day. "Today, many ambitious bikers have profound expertise knowledge. This makes discussing technical details such as the new plate geometry or the riveting of our chains with the visitors all the more stimulating", said Rainer Bludom, Product Manager at Connex.
